We have a CE-4 that we bought for our home just this past March. I have been meaning to right and express my thanks. Thanks for your product, thoughtful service and help in picking the sauna that is right for my family. We got the sauna for several reasons-to help me with chonic pain from various injuries related to a motorcycle accident, to help with weight loss, overall mood improvement and moving to a more healthy lifestyle.
On all fronts this sauna has proven to be the right choice. We could not be happier. My spouse loves the sauna especially in the winter and spring and I have had reduction in pain and improvement in my sense of well being as a result.
We got the CE-4 because we wanted aspen wood and it looks fantastic. And we love the low EMF readings that was very important to us. We use it at least once a week and often every day. It's where we go to sweat the work day away and it is a wonder at doing that. We don't know what we would do without it or why we waited so long....
We also love the true wave technology which we think is superior.
We looked hard at a lot of saunas including Therasauna and Sunlighten. Money was not a factor so we looked at features and performance. After a lot of careful research and more than a few emails to the companies to get even more information we decided on Clearlight. That was the right choice and I tell anyone who will listen that they should get one whenever asked.
I think your product is the best in terms of quality, technology and price and I would buy again if I ever needed another one.

I’ve owned and used my Clearlight CE-3 sauna for about three months, now, and thought I’d let you know my impressions regarding its effectiveness and value.
I absolutely love my sauna! Thank you for selling such a wonderful and effective product! My Clearlight sauna has made a very positive and significant improvement in my overall health and quality of life. I have only one major regret - I wish I had purchased it many years ago, so I could have started reaping the benefits of using it that much sooner. The main benefits I’ve noticed from using the sauna are:
1. Better recovery from exercise - I used to have sore shoulder joints after weight training (I’m 54). Now, I hit the sauna after weight training and I don’t get sore shoulders anymore. I also seem to recover faster from exercise (my muscles don’t get sore).
2. Increased well-being - I now have a tremendous amount of energy. I seem to need less sleep and I feel full of life. I attribute this improvement to the resultant reduction in body toxins from using the sauna.
3. Decreased body fat - After using this sauna for three months my waist is about one inch smaller than before. This could have been caused by a variety of factors (such as all the extra water I drink in the sauna), but the fact is that I didn’t lose that body fat until after I started using the sauna.
My Clearlight sauna is an outstanding value. It is a first-class product and it works every bit as well as you claimed on your web site. If I had known how well these saunas were built before I purchased one, I would have bought a larger, more expensive model. However, I had never seen a Clearlight sauna in-person until mine was delivered, so I bought the smallest, least expensive model that would suit my needs. Now that I’ve owned and used a Clearlight sauna, I look forward to purchasing another sauna from you sometime in the future... and this time I’ll buy your top-of-the-line model. I am using the sauna 5/7 days/week. I just love it. There are now some mornings when I wake up and feel no pain in my neck and shoulders. I look forward to more days like this. I am someone who is always cold to the touch, and now my family tells me to 'Go to your cabin' whenever I complain of being cold. I enjoy my time in the cabin. Sometimes I listen to the radio and do Sudoku puzzles, other times I read a novel. I enjoy my quiet time.

I have epilepsy and went for my 6 month check-up and the doctor walks in and first thing he says is wow you look great! You have a glow about you and look so healthy. I told him about the sauna and how I am sleeping better and feeling good. He said to keep it up and he is wants to get one for himself.
Also just got over the H1N1 flu and the doctor said to live in the sauna
being good for the lungs to clear out, it did help to take the aches

Hi Andy!
I just wanted to thank you for being SO helpful before AND after we purchased our sauna. We have had it about 6 weeks and I wanted to let you know why I am so happy. If you have children, you will relate to this story. My 18 year old son has battled acne for 2 years now. His face has progressively gotten worse and there was not a single 'non-blemished' spot on his face. He was very, very depressed.
I took him to the dermatologist and he has put him on topical and internal medications, Acutane (bad, bad stuff!) and yet nothing worked. We have also unsuccessfully tried Murad and ProActive. The doctors were perplexed and he sunk into deeper depression. We put him on a healthy diet and supplemented with liquid minerals and vitamins, but to no avail. I am VERY pleased to tell you that for the first time in 2 years, his face is COMPLETELY blemish free.
He is SO happy and so are we. He uses the sauna every day for 30 minutes and is even afraid to go off to college next month where he has a scholarship to play soccer. I told him he can't take the sauna with him :)

I never thought that I would become a sauna person, but here goes. I did the research, and gradually the skepticism of buying an infrared sauna changed over to being convinced of the benefits. I looked locally and thoroughly scoured the web - Clearlight's quality stood out. From ordering to delivery to set-up (easy!) to the actual product - we have been very happy!
Now for the use - We bought the three person sauna, and have been using it daily for about one month. Everyone in the family, even the Havanese - loves it. Our Clearlight IR sauna arrived a few days ago. My 17 yr. old son and I put it together in about 30 minutes. It is just beautiful, like a piece of furniture. My whole family has used the sauna several times and it is wonderful. I will admit that I was initially a bit skeptical about having a good sweat at lower temperatures. Now I am totally converted. Just to say thanks for all your help in my infrafred sauna decision making. I have to tell you that my gut instinct was Clearlight from the beginning and that became more and more clear in my conversations with you and in comparing other companies. It is such a comforting feeling to know for sure that I made the right choice - hands down.
My sauna is up and running as of last night and I can't tell you how thrilled I am. One of my massage cllients had the privilege of using it today even before I did. Just a quick note (now that I've been using the sauna for a few weeks) to let you know how appreciative I am of the IS-2 sauna and of Sauna Works. I have used the sauna almost every evening (maybe missed twice) since setting it up and am thoroughly enjoying it. Every day I anticipate my evening sauna experience. What a wonderful time to contemplate, mediatate, reflect and just quiet the mind. Also you were so right about our skin. It definitely improves and doesn't take long to start seeing the results.
My 19 year old son has managed to come over almost every day to use the sauna and of course I am thrilled he is because I know it is probably one of the few healthy things he does! :) His skin has definitely improved. When I asked him what he likes about using it he told me it just makes him feel good and happy. So far he has been using it consistently and I hope it continues.

You know, it's been I think like three weeks since our sauna arrived and I apologize that I've yet to sit down and tell you "thank you" SO much for providing such an incredible product! Until yesterday, I had not missed even ONE day of relaxing in this gorgeous sauna...and since I did miss yesterday, you can bet that it's warming up right now as I type this to you.
You were so helpful as I took so long making my decision. This is truly a beautifully built piece of furniture. As you know, I had that little snafu with the shipping company and the steepness of my driveway, but whatever you did - it worked - they were out here with a truck the next afternoon.
The sauna was an absolute dream to put together. It took us longer for my husband and I to unpack all the pieces and carry each one around the outside of the house and into the bottom floor (several trips) than it did to put it together. All I can say is that the design is absolutely ingenious.
I'm amazed that I set the temp and timer, and then I make some tea...I usually wait about 15 minutes, get in and within another 10 -15 minutes I am sweating like crazy. I've been staying in between 40 and 60 minutes. It is glorious. I just really want you to know how thrilled I've been with the sauna.
I've been a serious Type A for a very long time. But now I actually have a friend who calls me "sauna girl" because - now don't laugh- I keep saying how it's changed my life. I used to work all day (very long hours), come home, make dinner and then sit at the computer and work for two or three more hours every single night! But now, I'm SO much more relaxed. I usually take my sauna before dinner, and then I might - just might work for an hour in the evening, but then again - I might just read a book and relax instead!
I could go on and on - thankfully, I won't because I can hear that sauna calling my name!

My husband and I ordered your CLS-2 last May. Unbelievably, we set it up, but did not have a chance to use it until this week!!!! I just want you to know how much we LOVE it! I have been using it about 2-3 hours before I go to bed and I have been sleeping like a baby! I do have one question, though. What is the recommended number of times to use it per day? The following is a reference email to a new customer by one of our existing customers who did extensive research into far infrared saunas before making a decision on what brand to buy. The new customer asked several questions and the questions and answers are below:
Dear A-
I was given your name and e-mail by Andy at Sauna Works. We are contemplating buying an infrared sauna from them this week. We are located in San Rafael CA (just north of San Francisco) and plan to place it outside in our backyard. I have a few questions which I’d like to ask of you, if you don’t mind.
How long have you had the sauna? I bought it the week before Christmas. I ordered it on a Friday, late afternoon, it arrived in Kansas City on MONDAY, i scheduled delivery for Wednesday and the local shipper put it in my garage. I could have gotten it sooner if I was able to coordinate delivery with work schedule.
How do you like it? It's AWESOME. I'd recommend it to anyone.
Do you use it very often? I'd like to use it every day now that Holiday travel is done with. The night I put it together I got in at 10pm and was awake until 4:30, because my system was energized. Definitely a sign it's doing something. I'd suggest using it first thing in the morning to get the day started off right, or after work to wind down before going to bed. I have friends, in-laws, etc that are begging to use it.
Which size unit do you have? I have the IS-2. If you are looking at other saunas, pay attention to INTERIOR dimensions as some 2-person saunas are 8-10" narrower and 4"+ shallower which is NOT adequate for 2 people. I'm 6'-1 and find it quite comfortable, though I can't stand up in it, that's not really necessary. It's in my basement and is 3-4" below the dropped ceiling so I wouldn't want it much taller.
How has the service and support been from the company? FANTASTIC!!!! Andy and I exchanged dozens of emails in my extensive research to find the "best" sauna.
Have you had any problems with the equipment? Not at all. All components are covered by a LIFETIME warranty, something only a few other companies match.
Any other comments or suggestions are most welcome. As I previously wrote in my email that crashed... I could write a book! You mentioned putting it outside. I'd DEFINITELY go with cedar for it's hot/cold expansion, resistance to decay and pests, aromatic smell and ability to weather the elements. A cover is a MUST as the roof isn't waterproof, and it's more like a piece of furniture.
Other saunas use "hypoallergenic" basswood or poplar. Not good for exterior use or interior really. I used basswood for woodcarving as a kid because it's so soft and easy to work with, therefore not the best for a sauna to hold up well in my opinion.
Clearlight has some of the best ceramic emitters on the market based on my research. Others use tiny incoloy rods or small ceramic heaters with deflectors that I've heard alter the FAR wavelength and create hot spots on your back. The larger the surface area the more FIR that can be emitted without having to be extremely hot. I use mine at 115-130 degrees.

The sauna is up, assembled, plugged in and we started using it over the weekend. We are thrilled with it. I really could not be happier.
My doctor had recommended that I try one at a local bodycare place before we invested in our own. The one they have there is an Airwall and it's fine but the Clearlight is much nicer. The Clearlight just seems to be higher quality overall. It's better built and more comfortable as well and the interior controls are a huge plus. I am glad we got the three-person size. When G and I are in there together we have room to spread out a little.
A contractor friend of ours was over to visit and he pointed out details in the woodworking of the cabinet I would not have noticed otherwise. He was very impressed.

I just wanted to let you know we received the sauna ok. It came undamaged and it took longer to unpack than it did to put it together. My wife and I both love it, and I being very particular about quality can say I can find very little wrong with it. If I had to find something that could use improvement.........it would be the radio/cd players volume control. When you are sitting quietly inside the sauna, and would like some soft background music, I find the lowest setting is still too high for my tastes. I have overcome that by setting the reverb to a negative number.
But I wanted to thank-you and congratulate the entire staff for putting together a quality sauna. The feeling of quality will far outlast the feeling of low price. Please pass this on to your staff.
